Question about China?

Question about China?

Is their anyone not registering for fine China? I had it on and then took it off. I put on very nice wedgewood everyday china. Me and FH still live at home, and we need ALOT of stuff. We have nothing!! So I figured why ask for China. I much rather have people buy other things that I need everyday. Plus, we are moving into an apartment, so I don't think we would have room.

Anyone not registering for fine China?

We're not! Our everyday china is pretty formal and we're going to be living in an apt...when we buy a house - then we'll go for the formal stuff!

That is what we figured we do! I got a 12 piece setting of everday plates. They are pretty formal, so I figured that would work for now.

I wasn't going to originally but, I changed my mind since it was something I would never buy for myself.

ETA-Our everyday dishes are just plain white ones from Crate and Barrel.

We didn't. IMO, it's a waste of money. Food tastes the same on a $10 set of plates.

Everyone I know (family/friends) that registered for China said 'don't do it'. My SIL ended up getting 3 place settings. They decided not to buy the rest for obvious ($) reasons. So, they have 3 place settings for formal occasions.

It keeps going on and off - it is off right now. I kind of want it, but I would need 16 placesettings just to feed my family and FH's immediate family if they all came over at once! I just hate the idea of getting like 3 sets

we did because everyone who doesnt have china told us they wish that they did. So far we got two sets for our e-party. If we don't get the rest of it for the shower, we'll return it and get something else.

That is a good idea - at least it is super easy to return things bought off the registry.
