I have been thinking of having Navy as my main color.. (besides some colors in my flowers). I love the way navy dresses look on the girls, but
What would FH wear? Not a navy suit... he is gonna wear a tux of a sort, but how would he incorporate that color?
Has anyone had navy as one of their colors? How did you do this.. and do you have any pics??

I was in a wedding several years ago where one of the colors was navy (the other color was orange - it was a fall wedding and the way she used these colors was gorgeous). The bridesmaids wore beautiful navy dresses, but the groom and groomsmen wore black tuxes with black cumberbands (or whatever they are called). It looked very nice.

yes we are fall, also. Thinking of navy and maybe one of the fall red tones. Not sure yet of other color... I just can't picture the men??

Hi! I'm using navy BM dresses. The guys will wear black tuxes and their vests or ties (we're not going the cumberbund/bowtie route) will probably have some navy in it (haven't gotten to that yet!). IMO navy and black work well together. One of my BMs just went to a wedding where the BMs wore navy dresses and she said it was very pretty! Hope that helps!

My BM are wearing Navy and I'm not too sure about the GM yet, but on 'Ed' the other night, the guys wore gray vests with navy ties - I'm not crazy about it, but it looked good. I want to go to the store and see the options. I think it will look great though. I'm picturing gray vests and ties. . .

I tried to post a pic of the wedding I was in several years ago, but my scanner is acting up and by the time I get the pic up, we will all be celebrating our silver anniversaries! Anyway, I see in the picture that the guys wore black tuxes with navy bow ties. I didn't even notice until I looked closely but that is how the bride incorporated navy in the guys' clothing. It looked really nice! I don't know how grey and navy looked, but black and navy looked great! Good luck!

Your FH doesn't have to match the girls dresses. He could just wear black tux with white or ivory vest and tie. Maybe his flower could incorporate their color if you want.

I was in a wedding party and we wore navy, it was a fall wedding. The guys wore black tuxedos and it looked OK. They had on navy vests but honestly you didn't see them that well with the black.
MY BM are in navy too, and I thought about this a lot. I'm really not going to stress over it. I am hoping though that FH chooses a silver / platinum vest, which may help break the black / navy look.
My biggest problem is that I just can't visualise the two together - no imagination

My cousin had navy BM dresses, and she had the guys in black with tons of colorful flowers in her centerpieces and bouquets....it looked lovely!

oooooooooh, I was reading this post and right away said, the guys wear black tuxes and navy vests, BUT as I read down, someone mentioned gray vests, I think that's a great idea. But instead of gray maybe you can do a silver type of color. I think those colors would look great together! Good luck!

My FH is doing the same as Dubliner. Our colors are Navy and Silver, so he is doing a silver vest. He did not like the look of the navy against the black.
