Question about coming off the Pill

I want to first say that we are NOT ready to TTC but I am at the renewal time for my Pill and have had a hard time getting a hold of my doctor to renew the prescription. I am debating coming off of the Pill now instead of going another six months or a year with it.

My question is for those who have just come off of the Pill. How messed up does your cycle get after you come off? How do you know when you will get your period? Does it stay pretty close to the cycle you had on the Pill? I am wondering if it is worth the aggravation of coming off now and using condoms or if I should bug my doctor again and renew for another 6 months to a year.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. And, of course, when we DO decide to TTC, I will let you all know as I will probably have tons of questions.

I stopped taking BCPs in Nov. My first cycle off was pretty normal, maybe a few days longer. This time around, I'm on day 43 with no signs of AF...

So, its safe to say, your cycles may take some time to adjust.

(we're not TTC and I've had 2 negative tests)

I HATED being off the pill. My cycles were all over the place and long and heavy (TMI!). I only went off to conceive so it was for a reason.
I have decided to stay on until menopause-lol!
