Do you still need to get an engineer and termite inspector?

we had to for our townhouse. i think the fees are generally cheaper than for a house though

We had an inspector just to protect ourselves and have peace of mind. They do charge you less since they are basically checking out the interior and not so much of the exterior.

You don't need those things for coops & condos.
