Question about customized M&M's

If we have 150 guest at our wedding how many bags of M&M's would I need to order. The tins hold about 30 and each bag is 8oz. I was considering 5 and we get 1 free, will that be enough?

My friend did them...she purchased a 5lb bag of white non-personalized ones and purchased a smaller amount of coloredcpersonalized to save money. She mixed them in and they looked great.

I just ordered mine and am doing one 2 oz. organza bag per person for 150 people. I had to order 40 8 oz. bags!! It was expensive let me tell you!!!

I am wondering the same thing too.

We're doing the personalized M&Ms for our favors but mixing in some of the Wedding Mix they have on their website to cut down the cost.

I saw a code in the sunday paper for the free bag too. I will try and remember what it was, if i do i will post it for you guys. I was going to do them but they are soo expensive

I used them for my sister's shower... I ordered 8 bags and that was not enough to fill the plastic envelope containers for 60 people. To save money, I ordered 6 bags of the same colors but not customized and mixed those in with them. everyone loved them!

Ok...we are anal....and this is what we came up with...

We have 150 favors
Each favor will contain 1Oz. of M&M's
1 Oz. is equal to 32 M&M's

we need 19 8oz bags of M&M's

We are mixing the wedding themed M&M's with the personalized M&M's and then getting red one (color of my flowers) to add some color.

i think our total spent on just the m&m's is $155.00 including shipping.

I was told about a code for them..and it automatically gives you 1 free :)
