Question about David's Bridal

My friend is getting married 10.10.10 and she put down a $100 deposit on her dress that she tried on over thanksgiving break at david's bridal. We went dress shopping yesterday at Macys and she fell in love with this one dress that looked stunning on her.

She wants to get her deposit back from david's bridal is this possible? he dress is supposed to come in after new years. She'll take store credit, she just wants something back. Please help us!

I'm not really sure how they work with deposits. I feel like they SHOULD give it back, but i know that a lot of places don't do that. I think your friend should just call them and see what they can work out. Maybe if she asks for store credit, rather than cash, they might be more accommodating.

i have heard some get it but the majority do not. I would just tell her to buy other things there - they have gloves, jackets, a bunch of stuff.

ditto.
She can use the store credit not only for accessories, but also for MOB or MOG dress, flowergirl dress or hairpiece, etc.

Yeah I didn't know that either. She should try to get store credit back-that's more likely than them returning the cash.

Re: Question about David's Bridal

In all likelihood, they will give your friend a store credit. They will say that the dress was ordered already, blah blah. But just in case, your friend should check her receipt and see what it says. Maybe within a certain period of time she can get her deposit back. If not, there are so many things she can get there for her credit like the other posters wrote
