So my FH and I visited bridgeview on 1/18 to drop off our 2nd deposit and they still haven't cashed the check. I know last week was a little crazy with Martin Luther King Day and then the bad snowy days but i'm started to get annoyed seeing so much money in my checking account that I know isnt really there any more. Should I call and ask them what they're waiting for? I dont want to be rude but it's a lot of money! What do you guys think?

Question about deposits... - Long Island Weddings
I think its appropriate to contact them and inquire for an updated statement of your account. That opens the conversation into the payment you are concerned about. Businesses handling large amounts of money for events such as weddings cash checks within this amount of time.

That drives me nuts - and, yes, I think you are perfectly within your right (and not being impatient) if that check was dropped off a week ago.
Thanks ladies, i wanted to make sure i wasnt being a bridezilla before i called! Annoyingly enough, their bookkeeper is on vacation and that's why i haven't seen the check deposited. Not a big deal but I just wish they could have told me when we dropped it off that we wouldnt see it clear for at least 2 weeks!
