Since I ordered my dress I have lost 50 pounds. I was wondering if anyone else did this and was it a problem having the dress altered? My dress isn't in yet and I'm less than 2 month from my wedding. Should I call the shop and check with them? I got my dress a Fantasia Bridal. I'm worried that they wont be able to take it in that much and I will be left with out a dress.

Re: question about dress size
Congratulations on your weight loss ! That's a great accomplishment. Call the bridal shop about your dress. It really should be in. Your weight loss is about 2 and ahalf dress sizes, so they are going to have a lot of work to do.

Re: question about dress size
i would start calling the shop about the dress to see when it will be in, and explaining that you want to know cause you have lost a lot of weight.
they can do miracles with dresses these days-so before you start getting too worried i would just wait to see how it will be when you put it on

Re: question about dress size
They arount it can be taken in really depends on the dress, how detailed it is, etc. Some dresses can be taken in a size and I have heard of other dresses being taken in 3 sizes.
I would definately call your shop and see if you can get remeasured, so they know if the dress can be altered or if you can order a different size
