Question about favors and placecards.....

I was wondering if anyone has somehow used the favor boxes with the favos in them somehow as placecards, too. Our favors are ornaments painted with the Montauk Lighthouse and I was thinking of having them on the table when you walk in and somehow attach a card or I was actually thinking a sandollar with the name and table number on it. Has anyone been to a wedding where this has been done? Usually the favors are at the table, right? Any ideas would be so helpful! Thanks and I hope everyone's plans are going great!

Question about favors and placecards.....

I have seen wraped favors with the placecards attached. I have also seen ornament favors displayed on a tree. Both were nice.

Montauk

We used table card boxes with the favor inside-- they were triangular shaped with a preprinted message on one side (you design they print)and the other side I made labels with the name of guest and table number--is this what you are talking about? I loved the idea because not many people were doing it-- I can send you pics and look for the company info if you are interested Laura

Question about favors and placecards.....

I am actually working on this exact project this afternoon. I am giving out bottle stoppers to each couple. Therefore, I don't want to put them on the table in case so people assume each person gets one. I decided to place the seating cards on the wrapped favor. I am having a hard time figuring out how to do it since the favor box is about 3 inches by 1 inch. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Karen

Use labels--that way you can print on them and then just stick them onto the favor box-- Laura

what im doing

I am using ball candles wrapped in a ribbon for the escort card and then at the seat is the candle holder wrapped...I am giving one per person, so I just have to figure out what to do about place cards...is it inappropriate to split couples escort cards?

We did

At our September wedding, we did a donaton and a CD as our favors. I didn`t want to just have this stuff piled up on the table for people to hopefully remember to take, or worry that some people went home empty handed because instead of a couple taking just one they took one each. So instead, we put the names on the donation card envelopes, along with the table number, then we placed the card on top of the CD, and wrapped that stretchy gold cord around two of the corners to make neat little packages, and had them laid out on the place card table. It really made for a pretty presentation. (We also did those wedding bells, tied to a bell shaped card with personalized ribbon. One was placed at each place setting).

Question about favors and placecards.....RnTwedding1026

Here is the link to the website. A woman in NJ does them, they are absolutly beautiful! They are $6.00 if you buy a large quantity and she boxes and ships them. Let me know if you need anything else! Where is your reception? www.craftycouple.com

Question about favors and placecards.....RnTwedding1026

Our reception is at the Thatched Cottage in Centerport... (quite a hike, I know). We looked around Montauk but did not find anything we liked. I am looking at having ornaments as our favors & found one place that will custom engrave glass ornaments with any picture or wording that you choose. But I am happy that you gave me the other website... I was going nuts trying to find ornaments like that!
