Do you give one favor per couple or one favor per person?? We were planning one per couple, but my sister thought it was supposed to be per person - if it's something small...like chocolates or candy, etc.
What's OK?

Re: Question about favors... which is correct?
I think that general rule is like this: if it is edible, it is one per person;everything else is one per couple

It depends on what the favor is. If it is a keepsake, it should be one per person. Something edible should be one per person...

im doing one per person. theyre a set of coasters. i thought it would make life easier just to put one at each place setting and call it a day. how do u distribute them if its one per couple or family?

Re: Question about favors... which is correct?
I was actually giving one per person because we have alot of guests with a boyfriend or girlfriend and I didn't want to give one gift and I am having about 9-10 kids so I am making gift bags for each kid instead of them getting a regular favor since what the heck do kids want with that

OK thanks girls! My sister is probably doing cookies for her favor which I guess makes sense to give per person. I'm doing loose tea with tea strainers. I can't imagine that each person in a couple would want their own tea and strainer?? Which is why we were doing one per couple. The single guests are obviously getting one of their own.
I don't know what to do... ? We were also trying to save $

One per couple if a gift. One per person if it is edible.

Re: Question about favors... which is correct?
we had glass coasters that were 1 per couple....but we also had personalized hershey's mini's that were 1 bag (2 pieces in a bag) per person.
i agree that if it's edible, you should do 1 per person, but if not, 1 per couple is fine.

I'm giving coasters. They come in sets of 2, so I thought if I gave each person (1) set = (2) coasters, then each family 'couple' would have a full set of (4).

I agree I think it depends on the favor. We're doing oil bottles, 1 per couple. We're attaching the placecards to the favors that way everyone who is suppose to get one does. It kills 2 birds with one stone since I didn't want to do just a plain old placecard. We're also doing truffle boxes and those will be 1 pp on each place setting.

We are doing pink & brown M&M's and are giving one per person but we are also doing CD's and that is one per couple - so I would agree w/other posters that if it's edible it should be one per person.

We're doing one per person.......I think if it's small like candy or chocolate, then one per person would be right, but if it's something that costs more than that, then one per couple is what I would do

I agree. If its edibile..then give one per person..if its an actual favor like an ice cream scoop or mug then you give one per couple (unless you can afford one per person)
