Question about finalizing my menu etc...

So I e-mailed the 'catering manager' two weeks ago to ask when we have to set up an appointment to go over everything. i got back an automated e-mail saying she was on vacation until the 3rd. I have only dealt with her and I still had some time so I wasn't concerned. Today I sent her another e-mail to which she responded 'call me and we can set it up for next week'. So I just called her. She said 'Wow you sure are in a rush to get in here....I am still meeting with July girls'. Am I really early? I only have 5 weeks to go, and since we are not meeting until the 17th that is less than a month before. I have a million questions and at this point nothing about the menu is finalized, even the length of our reception isn't final at this point. I feel like this should have been done already but she made me feel like I was rushing. Opinions please. TIA

no, i'm having my menu finalization meeting this weekend .... and i thought i was slow / late!

I was told that I meet with the catering manager to go over the menu about two to three weeks before the wedding. I don't think that you are in a rush at all, you just want to make sure that you get everything done

We went to finalize our menu etc a little over a month before our wedding. I think the earlier the better, especially if u have questions and are having menus printed.

We did ours 5 weeks before

You're not too early at all~we did ours at like 2 months before.
