Question about flights to Hawaii
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
anyone???
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
I have a friend that took the non stop, and I think they were very pleased with it. For our HM, we took United one way and Delta the other (each had one layover)...we were happy with both!

Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
If you arent picky about airline...try getting a flight on priceline. We ended up in American...and saved almost $200 per ticket
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
I know that people (myself included) normally like the non stop flights, but I was very happy to be able to get off the plane for a little while on our flights to HI. We laid over in LAX and were able to charge stuff that had run low (dvd players, psp, etc.) and were able to get some decent food. I'm pretty sure we flew Delta but I honestly can't remember. It might have been American. Good luck.
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
we're booked on the direct flight out of newark in april. haven't done it yet, but I've done similar length flights to europe before and always been glad for the lack of layover...missed connections and luggage are one less thing to worry about! plus, we'll be so tired the day after the wedding i figure we'll sleep through half the flight anyways!
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
we plan on stopping in vegas for a day or two and then flying hawaiian bc i was able to get enough points for few tickets for us. but they only fly out of the west coast.
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
thanks! we are leaning towards the nonstop flight.. but im scared! lol
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
I've done the nonstop flight from Newark. I thought it was great. I was happy to get on a plane here and get off in Hawaii, I'm not a fan of stops. Yes, it was a long flight but you just have to prepare yourself. Bring plenty of things to keep yourself busy and get up and walk around once in a while. I would go for it!
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
Are there only specific days for the non-stop flights from Newark to Hawaii?? Also, do the non-stop flights go to Maui? I am not even close to booking my honeymoon, but I am just looking for 09 prices to get an estimate of the cost for 2010. I can't seem to find the non-stop flights.
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
i think it goes daily, once a day from newark to oahu. i don't think there's one direct to maui, but i could be wrong...
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
sorry, should have said, the direct flight is on continental
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
Thanks so much for your response! What about on the return flight? Would you have to leave from Oahu to have the nonstop flight back to Newark? We are looking to do Maui, Kauai, and Oahu...so if we arrived in Oahu, we would want to fly back to Newark from either Maui or Kauai. Would this be possible on a nonstop flight? Thanks in advance!!
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
I don't think there is a non-stop from Maui or Kaui back to Newark. You'd have to take a flight back to Oahu and then fly directly to Newark. Rather than doing that, I'd try to get further east - maybe take a flight from Maui with a stop in LA or Vegas and then the rest of the way to Newark.
Re: Question about flights to Hawaii
Thanks so much for your response! I will probably do what you suggested and try to book a flight that stops in LA or Vegas. Thanks again!
