Ok, no doubt we are having my nephew as our Ring Bearer. He just turned 4, so he'll be 5 at our wedding.
Now, there are no eligable girls in the family or close friends for flowergirl. Two of my good friends had girls, 1 this past Aug 1 and the other this past Sept, so at our wedding, they would be 1 yr and 10mos and 1 yr and 9 mos. I feel that's a little young for a flowergirl.
Okay, FH's good friend (who he works with) has a daughter who turned 7 this past Dec. so at our wedding she'd be 8.
Is 8 too old for a flowergirl? What about with a 5 yr old ring bearer?

I don't think 8 is too old but the other little girls aren't too young either. I had my niece who was 17 months at the time in my wedding. She loved every minute of it! Here is a pic!

I think both of those ages that your said are fine. We are having a 9 year old RB and a 1.5 year old flower girl and 4 year old flower girl.

I had my DH niece and nephew in the our wedding. They are twins. They were only 1 yr and 5 months at our wedding. I had them pulled down the aisle in a wagon. They were a big hit!

We had a RB who was 6 and 2 flower girls who were both 3. They were a little tough to get down the aisle, but he was even tougher. I think it depends on the child and how shy they are.
You don't have to have FG and RB's in your party. I had mine only because I was very close to the children.

My ring bearer will barely be three... and my flower girl will be eight...
I was thinking that maybe eight was too old too, but I dont think it really matters...
she is very special to us and we really want her in the wedding, and i think she might be a lil young to be a jr.BM its all according to what you want...

My flower girl will have just turned 2; one will be 4 and one will be 5/6; yes 3 FLOWER GIRLS!! I could never pick between them! but OMG who is that dress by, on the flower girl????
