Question about getting an appraisal on your e-ring.

I'm going to get my ring appraised this weekend by an appraiser and was wondering what it will cost. The woman I made the appointment with said the price varies depending on what kind of appraisal I get done (for example, just a verbal or a full written one w/pics).
I just want to know what the average price is so that I can see if I'm getting ripped off or not.

I paid $125 for a written appraisal with a laminate certificate with a picture of a ring on it. I do not know what is the purpose of your appraisal, but if you are doing it for insurance purposes, you need it in writing.

I went to one of the booths in the Attias Flea Market and got a written appraisal for $20, but he didn't take any pics of my ring.

I think I paid about $100 for a written appraisal with a picture on it. I needed it for my insurance. HTH

I got an official GIA appraisal..$125. It was actually really fun and the woman was soooo cool. I learned things about diamonds. If you want the name of the place let me know.
