Question about getting married in Las Vegas

You know how if you're Roman Catholic you need to be married by a Cathlic priest and have it recognized by the church...well if you get married in the hotels at Vegas will they accomodate having a RC priest perform the ceremony? Does this make sense?

I'm not sure if the church works the same way out in Vegas, but I think you would still need to do all the preparation first. You probably have to meet with your local priest, complete pre-cana, etc. My brother got married out of state and said the biggest hassle was making the arrangements with the church. And I don't think a priest would perform the ceremony anywhere but a church - at least that's what I've been told for our area.

Your best bet is to speak with your local church to find out the requirements. It may be possible, but it will be difficult. Good luck!

No Roman Catholic priest will perform a ceremony in a hotel chapel as far as I've been told.
