Question about gift giving

Question about gift giving

My dh cousin is having a baby shower for her fourth child. A bit tacky, I know, especially since her other children are under the age of four. I will not be able to attend the shower. Should I still send a gift even if we will be giving a gift in a month when the baby comes?? I am not sure about the etiquette for a fourth shower.

Did she have a shower for each kid?
I would just bring a gift when you go see the baby.
There is no ettiquette. It's just plain tack-E.

Note: A friend of mine threw a SMALL shower for her sister who after having a boy, was going to be having twin girls. In this case (family only) I don't think it was too tacky.

She did have a shower for each kid. From what I understand, it's not just for family.

If you're bringing a gift when you see the baby, then that's all I would do. I don't think you should need to give a gift for a 4th shower. Let's face it, she has everything she needs. The idea of a shower is to start someone off on the right track, but I'm sure she has everything. This is just greedy!
