Re: Question about grad school applications
Where is the school you are applying? I lived right nearby so I went in person. I felt more safe knowing they received it in person. If not, certified mail is best.

Re: Question about grad school applications
well, i go to Post so I am going to hand deliver that one. Queens is just too far away. I was thinking maybe express mail. I don't want them to have to sign for it, but I would like to track it. Those are the only 2 that have to go out now. I have a month for Adelphi.

Yes, anything that allows you to track it is smart, then at least if they lose it you have some recourse. I dont' want to assume the worst but then you will be prepared.
Good luck. what are you applying?

Re: Question about grad school applications
I am applying for the speech pathology program. I am really nervous. I managed to get a decent score on the GRE, so that's one less thing I have to worry about.
I hope I get in somewhere.

Best of luck. My DH is a speech language pathologist. He went to St. Johns. Any questions just FM me.

Re: Question about grad school applications
Thank you! I was thinking about applying to St Johns, but it is so far. Queens is just as far, I know, but it is so inexpensive it's worth the trip! Does DH work in a school, hospital, clinic, etc? I would really like to work in a hospiatl then go into private practice. How does he like it?

He is in a Children's Rehabilation Center (like a preschool with special servies for children with disabilties). He likes it. Good luck. Sounds like a good goal.

Definitely certified mail, especially if you are approaching the deadline.

Re: Question about grad school applications
As someone who works on the other side, I also wanted to add that you should call a few days after it arrives to confirm that they have all required pieces of your application. Just getting the envelope to the building is the first step, you want to make sure it gets into the system as well.
