I heard some girls on here say that you should book hair and makeup at least a year in advance. I wasn't thinking of this until at least 6 months before. I still have a year and three months till my wedding. When should I start booking?
Also, does anyone know of a hair salon that does good up dos and makeup in the Smithtown, Nesconset, St. James, Commack area?????

I didn't think i would have to do it a year in advance, but I contacted Oksana, just out of curiosity, about 11 months before the weddding, and she was booked. This freeked me out - so I got on the ball and booked Jillian right away...

i agree with what you heard...i waited and when i started calling people they were BOOKED ALREADY...
WHich i guess is a good thing because the girl who did my hair was fabulous..Tarale

I have a make-up trial on April 9th (the night of my e-party) with someone a girl from work used for her wedding. I know she looked beautiful, plus her prices are great!!
So I guess I will see...
Also, TCartlons in ST. James is wonderful!!! I intend on having my hair done there for my wedding, as well as my girls hair... I've been going there so long...they did my up-do for my prom. I also get my hair cut there as well!!!
