Ok..so my banquet manager today me that now a days you dont put ur favors on a serperate table and as ur guest leave they grab one. Now adays they are placed on the tables..so when the guest take their seats they see their favors....is this true? How is everyone displaying their favors? I really wanted to place them on a seperate table..and as everyone leaves they grab one. I want to do it this way because I think with the favor on the table, my table will seem to 'busy'...Here is whats going to be on the table
-menu -my box favor filled with candy -a thank you scroll -2 personalized napkins on each plate -a table camera -the table # cards -2 personzlized hersheys nugget candy on each table -a few bells (for them to ring us to kiss) - the CP..a bowl filled with floating candles -scattered rose petals along the table
Is that too much?

I don't think it's entirely too much depending on how you place it. Are you attaching the thank you scroll too the favor?? and is that going to be placed over the napkin?? I don't think that would be too cluttered....
Also, maybe only print 2 menus this way its not as crowded???

I dont think so...b/c you dont have an overwhelming CP, I tink your ok...and its fun to have a lot of presents as a guest

Let me see if I can describe how I will be placing everything, let me know if its confusing.
Ok on top of the plate will be maybe one personalized napkin, on top of that the little favor box (with the scroll possibly attached to the top of the side of the favor box) next to the plate, on the table, I would be the bells...and then the table camera will be placed next to or around the CP, the table # I guess next to the table camera, and I would do two menus...and place each one on one side of the table. I am unsure on where to place the candy nuggets...I was thinking of putting 2 on each plate next to the favor...what do you think?

so far every wedding I've been to has the favors at the table..I think it's a sure way people will get them..

millie... i think that's fine!
our place settings will have basically the same thing... no personalized napkins or candies though! and our CPs will be different... but i honestly think its FINE!
we might have to put our favors on another table if we do the mugs like we want to! I think they'll be way too big to go on the tables, but we'll see!

I think it depends on the size of your favors. If it's a small or mid-size gift box I think having it on your tables should be fine. But if you're having something placed in a larger size gift box it might look overwhelming.
We're having full size bottles of wine and coasters. I am going to insist that we have a seperate table for our favors bc I will also need a space for the card box that I ordered which is the stacked present style and frankly kind of bulky.

They are small 2in by 2in favor boxes..not big at all.

Oh yea def put them on the guest table. I think it will add some charm. It will look very sharp

I think it depends on WHO is getting the favors. For example, I'm giving one per couple/family...so i cant put the favors on the tables because not everyone in a family will be at one table (and you cant predict where each couple will sit at a table). Therefore, in my case, its just easier to put the favors at a seperate table.
I also think that sometimes the tables get cluttered when your favors are anything larger than a small bag or box. In my case, we're giving small photo albums and a small bag with a Support Our Troops bracelet. The brcelet will go at the tables, but the main favor is a bit too big to be putting at the table IMO.

I think if you want to put them on a seperate table you can. Ive been to weddings where they were on the table you sat at and some that they put them on a seperate table. Whatever you want I think is fine

You can do it however you would like to i am thinking I may need to put mine on a seperate table because I am having full bottles of wine and there will already be wine on the tables.. but that's the ONLy reason why I wont have them on the tables.. otherwise any other favor i think I would just put on the table
