I am unsure about something. Say you are inviting a side of the family that still live in the same house. Like aunt, uncle and 2 cousins. Do I address it to them as 'The X Family', or do I have to send a separate one to my aunt and uncle, a separate one to cousin 1 and guest and cousin 2 and guest. I am confused by that.

Re: Question About Invitations
It would be more formal to address them all seperatly....That's what I had to do for a few people that lived in the same house. Plus, that's how they would know that they are invited with dates...I hope that I was able to help.

Re: Question About Invitations
That's true. The only exception might be a family that lives out of the country. I think all my cousins are still single there. Would they really take a casual date to another country for a wedding?

Re: Question About Invitations
No but I think its nice for them to get their own invitations anyway.. when we baptised my son we didnt want guests brought ( we could only fit 50 people where we were having it) so we wrote it out to each family.. and people still brought 'and guest' it was a mad house!!

Re: Question About Invitations
Yeah, I think I will just do that.
I am hating to have to invite people with guest, it makes it add up to so much. We only planned on inviting 100, but we are inviting 165 so far. It cannot go any higher, our room only holds 180 I think.

Re: Question About Invitations
I am addressing cousins that still live at home separately only if they are over the age of 18....because that is determining whether I am inviting a guest for them or not. I have about 1,000 cousins and had to draw the line somewhere.

Re: Question About Invitations
I think that etiquette says that anyone over 18 should receive their own invitation.

Re: Question About Invitations
I sent seperate ones. The deciding factor for me was age. Everyone over 18 got a seperate invitation.
