I heard from some people taht the time you put on your invitation for the ceremony should be a half an hour before teh actual start time to ensure that late comers are there on time. For example, my ceremony is at 11:30....so on the invite I would put 11:00. Has anyone heard of doing this?? Or is anyone else doing this? Tell me what you think! Thanks!!!!

Re: Question about invitations....
There was a poll on this a while back, and it was honestly 50:50 - 50% of the brides did put an earlier start time, while the other 50% put the actual start time.
However, it's based on how well you know your guests - if they're known for being late - then put a half hr. before.
We did the actual time and had no late comers.

Re: Question about invitations....
We put an earlier start time because the hall provides a champagne reception before hand. If your guests are just going to be standing around with nothing to do then I don't think that I would recommend it.

I think if you are going to put an earlier time on the invitations, I would do it by fifteen minutes, not a half hour.

Re: Question about invitations....
my hall requested that i put 12:00 invite time for a ceremony that starts at 12:30. Again it is totally up to you.. you know your guest better.
