since my invites are having our parents name first
ie:
Mom and Dad ____ and Mom and Dad ____ request the presence blah blah of their children blah and blah
my question... since our parents last names will be on top, do we need to put our last names on there too??? i think it looks retarded!

I think you're just supposed to put your first and middle names when the wording is like that.

Make one up!! Be sure to give him a good one like 'Homer' or something. (Totally kidding.) Seriously, you can just use your first names. It's perfectly acceptable.

Ultimately I say do what you want but I do agree that I think you can just put your first and middle names.
