Question about Invites

Question about Invites

My RSVP has a 'no. attending' space. If there is a 2 person maximum per invite how do I ensure that they respond with no more than 2 people?? Should I write the number of people allowed on the RSVP, if I do that where do they put the amount of people coming??? I am so confused, can anyone help???? TIA

Re: Question about Invites

Well that is usually stated on the outer envelop...for example, if you want to invite a married couple..you would write
'Mr and Mrs Smith' and they SHOULD understand that only 2 people are invited...if you say 'Mr and Mrs and family' Then you are inviting children..HTH

Thank you, I'm worried someone is going to say 5 are coming when it should only be 2.

Re: Question about Invites

We sent out two different response cards to avoid the 'add on' probblem.

For single guests the response card read:

We have reserved one seat in your honor/

Ms. Kelley J. Bray

___accepts with pleasure
___declines with regret

For couples or guest who are bring someone it read:

We have reserved two seats in your honor.

Mr. Jack Kelley & Guest

__ accept with pleasure
__ decline with regret
__ of 2 attending

Since we did DIY invites we were able to make 2 different reponses AND actually have the guests names printed directly onto the respons card

Re: Question about Invites

u could always prefill the part where the # of guests goes. EX:

The favor of a reply is requested
before May 20, 1999
M _______________
Number of persons _____2_____
____will attend
____will not attend

please note some guests will cross out the # u put in and write 4 anyway.
