Question about inviting people

Question about inviting people

We had our eparty in March, and I went a little invite happy. I invited a lot of people from work, that now I'm rethinking whether I should have invited them or not. We weren't paying per person, so it seemed okay at the time to invited everyone.
Now we are getting our list together for the wedding, and since we are paying 100+ pp I am wondering if I have to invited everyone that we invited to the eparty, if we don't, is that bad etiquette? I guess we should have thought about this before the eparty huh?

What do you girls think?

I think thats bad etiquette. Its like sending someone a save the date and not giving them an invitation. It'll make them think 'Oh I was good enough to give a gift that they could use for their wedding, but now I'm not good enough to be apart of it' Its very hard to when you do pre wedding things like that, cause then you have that obligation to have them at the wedding too. Just be careful with your shower list. DEF make sure its people you are def having at the wedding.
Hope that helped

Thanks for the advice! I agree, and think it's bad etiquette as well - just wanted to double check

Yeah, I'm sorry to say I think unless something drastically changed in your relationship you are obligated to invite people who were invited to the engagement party. Especially if they gave a gift - then it's doubly important to invite them.

I agree ... all websites say to ensure that those you invite to your engagement party and send a 'save the date' to must be then invited to the wedding. Sorry!

I agree..i think you're obligated to invite them. Maybe if it becomes too much, cut down on the plus ones. that's what i'm doing with my coworkers. i work in a small office and i'm only inviting my bosses with their wives. everyone else by themselves. can't afford it. besides they all know each other they can mingle

IMPO, if someone is invited to ANYTHING related to the wedding (E-Party, Shower, Bachi Party, etc) they should also be invited to the wedding.

Sorry to agree with everyone but you kinda have to invite them to the wedding now. It's kinda like sending the STDs - once you send it you can't take the invite back.

Ditto everyone above. Definitely can't invite people to the engagement party (or bridal shower) and not the wedding.

While I tend to agree with the others to some degree.... things change, situations change, people and jobs change. Inviting co-workers can be sensitive. That stated, you have a year before you need to worry about this seriously. I would keep them on the B list. If your relationship changes with any of them, you can decide what to do then. I only invited our Boss to keep peace and so no one else would think I am favoring anyone else.

I did however send an STD to two ppl I did not invite for good reason. Some things happen and are unavoidable. If you have doubt, B-List them and see where you are. Statistically, 20% of ppl invited to weddings decline anyway.

I also agree, however, FH and I haven't decided if we're allowing kids at our wedding yet, and we had kids at our e-party, so they might get cut from our guest list. Not sure if that's bad etiquette, but it's a huge difference in people if we do invite kids.
