Question about Job call back

As you may know I went on a second interview on Tuesday. I havent heard back from the company yet. I know it has only been a day, but I am excited about this position.

I was wondering should I call there on friday, or should I give wait until monday to call? I know the HR recruiter was in training early on this week, but im not sure if she is back yet. I am hoping that she was in training yesterday, and that is why I havent heard from her......

So what should I do?

Yes i sent 3 of them. One to the HR rep, one to the hiring manager, and one to the VP that I met with yesterday.

I would call to follow up and you can ask if they have any further questions for you.

Good Luck!!

Once they receive it, it may trigger a call. When did they say you'd hear from them?

Well the two thank yous I sent two weeks ago after my first interview, and the one to the VP I sent after my interview the other day.

The VP said they would call me, but he didnt tell me when.

When I call, what should I say??

I would wait until Monday to call - only because if they don't call you back Friday - you're going to want to call back on Monday anyway to make sure they didn't forget!
When you call I would say that you are calling to follow up and check on the status of your candidacy.

do what you think is best...

just remember their timeline is not your timeline. they have lots of work to do, they are not sitting by the phone...waiting...

you sent the thank-you's - perfect. now it is their turn to get in touch with you if they are interested. it's difficult, i know. there is a fine line between showing interest, and being a pest. hang in there!

this all being said, only you know what is best for you to do. if you want to call them tomorrow, go for it!

there is no 'right' answer, what works in one case will not work in another and vice versa...

i have been through MANY an interview and i have learned you NEVER KNOW what the other side is thinking and dealing with politically. you need to do what you are comfortable with, and the 'right fit' will appreciate what it is that you do and reciprocate.

i have been in situations where i have 3 rounds of interviews, meet everyone and their co-worker, am praised by everyone, told i will be getting an offer (both by the recruiter and hiring manager), and walk away with nothing. i don't mean to scare you, just provide you with examples of 'you never know'. i have learned not to get too excited about anything until the paperwork is signed, sealed, and delivered...

good luck! hang in there! i hope you get the job!

Call Monday..... Just sit tight and relax what will be will be who know maybe they will call you, You don't want to over do it, then IMO it becomes insincere SHORT & SWEET (the thanks are a good enough for now)

Re: Question about Job call back

I have been in your shoes and know how difficult itis too wait on a job that you really want!! That said, I would agree with those saying Monday. Keep in mind Fridays are sometimes an off day in offices, people take off, people are out of office, thinking about weekend, etc... not saying this is the case, but IMO, a lot more tends to get accomplished on Monday and they may have you and there plans more in order by then. It sounds like everything is moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, for job seekers, the wait can be hard. You want to contact them when they have something to tell you. (I've waited four months for one job I had a while ago, talk about long) Best of luck!!!!

Re: Question about Job call back

I am not in Hr but I do my own recruiting for my department when necessary. I usually tell my candidates my timesframe.

If I were in your situation, I would call the HR rep on Friday (ease your nerves and anticipation) and say you really enjoyed meeting with the VP and wanted to see what the next step was. Ask if then need any more information from you and ask what is their expected timeframe. Asking what their expected timeframe is a very routine and expected question.
