Question about Lillettes in Merrick (I think)

I have an appointment there tonight. I know some of you ladies went there to try on dresses. How is it? Thanks!

(by the way, still not smoking!)

I liked it there - but I didn't really like that I wasn't able to go through the racks. You had to tell the salesperson what you were looking for and she brought some things in. That could have just been my experience though.

The salespeople were very nice, but I will say some of my friends had some issues with their alterations department.

Thank You! I'm looking for one particular dress brand and I think they carry it. I dont mind looking through the racks =D and thanks for the heads up!

I went there, its in baldwin. I had an alright experience. wasnt horrible but wasnt anything to rave about either.

Love them they are in Baldwin & Gerri Rocks! Also, Gerri & I went through the dresses together. She asked me each one if its somethign id liek to try on. No offense but i love that service.

I actually cancelled it at 430. I was swamped in work and there was no way I was getting from the city, back to Queens, and then in the car to Merrick in time.

BUT, I did reschedule for Tues!

i went in there and told the woman exactly what i wanted. She pulled 15 dresses that didnt look anything like what i wanted and what she 'thought' id like.

That said...i almost bought my dress there then i had a nightmare about it and picked a new one from somewhere else.

Me too!! Gerri is awesome!!! I am very happy with them so far... I'll let you know when I get to the alterations part lol... but I already ordered my dress and my BM dresses from there and had a really good experience!

I agree....Gerri is great and she is the one that picked out my dress....I just didnt realize it til the second time I went there to try it on that is was the one.

I had an awesome time with Gerri but i have to agree that the alterations dept was awful to me. The lady down there gave me a used slip and stuffed it into the bag with my actual gown. We returned it and she gave us another used slip with a hole in it. I finally told Gerri what happened and gave me a brand new slip in an actual garment bag.

I ordered my dress and my BM dresses from Lillette's.....so far Geri has been incredible.....I haven't dealt with the alterations department yet...my first fitting is in a few weeks so we will see how that goes.

I bought my dress there and I have absolutely no complaints (so far). They let me pull how ever many dresses I wanted myself and it was in the middle of a busy Saturday! I went back the next weekend to try on my favorite and then buy it and afterwards, my sister and I were looking at bm dresses and they let us go into the back dressing room by the MOB dresses and she got to try on a bunch as long as no one else needed that room.

I took my BM's there to try on dresses and they let them try on how many they wanted and we're going back next month to finally order! So far they've been wonderful!

I am getting my dress there and all BM's. I know a lot of people who have used them, including myself when I was a BM last year, who had really good experiences. i have 10 BM's of all different sizes and since it is down the block from my house I was there A LOT trying to figure out what dress to get that would work for everyone, they were always very helpful and willing to work with me on this whenever I showed up lol.

I went there for my dress and i really wasnt expecting much (its not the prettiest place) but it wound up being great! The first time i went i found 4 dresses then i went back and narrowed down 2 then i went back a third time and picked my dress! I am so bad at making decisions! They were very helpful and accomodating. They definately let you go through the racks because I actually picked out mine!! I had Christina she said shes been working there since high school. She was so nice! Good Luck!
