this may be a silly question...but i am trying to figure out my budget and i realize that a lot of limo packages are for 3 hours....but if the reception is 5 hours, so does that mean i will have to pay for 5 + hours?? or do we just pay for the time that we are actually in it/using it??

Re: question about limos
you pay for a limo just until you get to the hall most people dont have it of thier whole recption ... i think most limo company offers you a car to pick you up after the Reception

Re: question about limos
You only need the limo to pick you up to go to church and then to go take pictures and then to RH. That is usually 3-4 hours. Then they usually offer a pick up at the end of the night or a ride to the airport for your HM.

Re: question about limos
i just booked my limos - my mass is at 2:30 and i have the limo from 2-5. to take us from our houses to the church and then the church to the reception.
after, everyone is responsible for getting their own rides home- but my cousin had a van service pick up her guests
we are getting a regular car to take us from the reception to the hotel and then home in the morning
HTH!

Re: question about limos
I actually called companies yesterday and all prices were for 3 hours. We are going to probably pay for 5 hours being that the church is in QUeens at 3 and the reception begins at 7:30. But as for transporation home, i will be looking into a charter bus for my guests.

are you going somewhere in btw. to take pictures??? my church (including pictures) will end at around 3:30 and my CH doesn't start until 7:30 - but since I am a January bride I am not stopping anywhere in the middle to take pictures, thats why we figured we would go straight to the hall and take pictures there
just something to think about to save some cash and just use the three hour package

I would like to go somewhere to take pictures.. THere's a park 5 minutes away from the church, or we may find somewhere out there. But i'm not sure yet. Would the RH mind if we showed up an hour early. Its an hour drive from the church to the RH so i know between pick ups before, an hour ceremony (we are doing the mass), 3 hrs wont cut it.

It depends on the company and the limo. I've got over time prices ranging from 150-225 per hr over 3 hours
