Question about Low progesterone

Question about Low progesterone

How can you figure out if you have low progesterone by charting?

Re: Question about Low progesterone

I know that if you have low progesterone that you may not ovulate so that is one way that charting will help. I also know that if you have low levels that your temps will be quite low.
I do believe that those are the only two ways charting could help figure it out.
Some other symptoms I remember reading about are:
early miscarriage, cysts, insomnia, irregular period and bad cramps.

I know there are some other symptoms, I just dont remember what they are.

Re: Question about Low progesterone

like what lilmrs. said, if your levels are low you will not ovulate. I have low progesterone.
They can also do bloodwork to determine that.
I asked my doctor to see if this is why Im not getting pregnant, but they said no, you just need this hormone to carry a healthy baby.
That is I had to take progestorone while I was in my 2ww, just in case I was pregnant.

That is what my doctor told me.

Re: Question about Low progesterone

I'm just worried about low Progestrone levels causing my chemical pregnancy, because I am pretty sure the same thing happened last month.

Re: Question about Low progesterone

Chemical pregnancies happen more often than we think. CP were rarely predicted before because we didn't have tests that measured early detection. Who knows how many times we've had chemical pregnancies and didn't know it b/c AF came around the same time. I am sure many women have had chemical pregancies followed by healthy pregnancies. YOu should call and ask your doctor and let us know if there is a correlation.

Re: Question about Low progesterone

I don't think tempting indicates low progesterone however it could lol If that makes sense. They say if you have low progesterone your temps may be close to the coverline. However, my temps aren't close to my coverline, coverline is 98.2 and my temp this morning was 98.7, my progesterone level is a 6 and it's supposed to be at least a 10 at this point. So now I am taking these yucky vaginal suppositories. I am pretty confused by all this myself. I am also at 9dpo

Re: Question about Low progesterone

I'm going to watch myself closely this month and see what happens and then take it from there.

I know one of the dangers of early HPTs is getting a BFP and having it end as a chemical pregnancy...

My temps are very low ...I'm around 97.4 right now.

Re: Question about Low progesterone

Well having low temps are all relative. It depends on what they were before ovulation. Do you use Fertilityfriend for charting? What is your coverline temp?

I am sorry about the BFP and then having end up in a chemical pregnancy, what an emotional rollercoaster that is...actually all of this is so emotional. At least you know that you are reaching fertilization....do you go to an RE ?
