Question about meeting the preist....
Okay..I'm sorry...this is my 3rd post and its only 9:10!Tomorrow morning FH and I are meeting with the preist that is marrying us. We are not getting married at a church, we are getting married at the RH. Neither of us have ever seen this man before, only have spoken to him by phone....all of this makes me nervous.
What should I bring? I am bringing a print out of the poems I want read and the names of whom is reading them. Anything else?
Questions I should ask him? I know I am missing stuff. Please help. TIA

Re: Question about meeting the preist....
Just bring yourself, FH, a notebook, and a pen.I would also bring up questions like:
- how long will the ceremony be?
- are there any restrictions - as far as readings, etc?
- the general format of the ceremony

Re: Question about meeting the preist....
I was nervous, too. Will your wedding be a Catholic mass or a ceremony?Ours is a ceremony, but the priest still went through the protocol as if it was a mass:
He separated FH and I to interview us separately about our religions, past, 'freedom to marry', family history, address, etc.
Then he spoke with both FH (Catholic) and I (non-Catholic) to discuss how we will raise our children. FH signed a document in my presence stating that we agree to raise our children Catholic. Then we talked about pre-cana, rehearsal, what you can and cannot do at the church, which readings he suggests, etc.
Good luck!
