I still haven't made any arrangements with a florist for my November wedding. The main problem is I am not exactly sure what kind of flowers I want or the color combination. My question: Do I need to know what I want flower wise before I meet with florists, or not?

Do you at least know your BM dress color?
I had black dresses and had no clue what colors I wanted. I went to my florist and asked for suggestions- he showed me tons of pics of girls in black dresses with all different colored flowers. He was a huge help!
I'd DEF start making appts ASAP!!!

Yes... make appt soon!!! Its best if you know what colors your scheme is for your wedding. You dont need to know exactly what you want they will give you some suggestions and options!! Good luck!! Go soon!!!
