question about mortgage & new job

question about mortgage & new job

I am going to start looking for a new job very soon...and hopefully in the next few months we can start the process of looking for a house.
When it comes to getting a mortgage, will they question why I switched jobs so recently and give us a problem? The job would be in the same industry, but hopefully for more money...so i would think that would only be more beneficial. What do you think?

I don't think it will hurt you unless you have a history of frequently changing jobs.

I was informed that as long as it was in the same field that it didn't matter.

I was looking for a new job also - after we signed the contract and before closing! They said if it was in the same insdustry and for the same amount of money or more I would be OK.

if you stay in the same field, you should be ok. They might ask why you switched, especially if you were at Job A for a long period of time. They really just want to see stability and your rate of pay stay the same
