Question about 'Must Take' Photo List

A lot of girls on here have stressed how important it is to give your photog a 'must take' list. What do you put on it? Do I tell them EVERYTHING, even the obviously like I need pictures with my parents? Or do you just tell them some of the more obscure things like saying you want a picture of with your old sorority sisters? TIA!

I see some girls that have LONG lists! I didn't have anything. I just told them to take nice pics and make me look good But I just don't have the patience to come up with a list.

Yeah I didn't really know about this either. I'm probably going to have a short list just of the 'different' pictures - at this point I would think most photographers know you wants pics with your BP and parents.

Re: Question about 'Must Take' Photo List

I'm going to sit down with my guest list and make a list of the pictures I really want. Like I have always wanted a 'Tufts people' picture that I can send into our alumni magazine. I might even bring a stuffed Jumbo along to the wedding for that one.

I also want to make sure we get a pic with the 5 cousins that are my grandfather's grand children. He loves those pictures and it's hard to get us all together sometimes since we live 1500 miles apart.

Although some of the other pics are pretty obvious, I'm going to still sit down and write up what I like. Even if our photog has other ideas, it'll be nice to feel like I'm not forgetting anything on the day of.

Re: Question about 'Must Take' Photo List

Most photographers will have you fill out a checklist type of forms so they are privy to the type of photos you want to take in advance. However I am somewhat fanatical and I actually typed up something for my photographer and gave it to him the day of. It included the style and feel I was looking for in the photos, and it also included actual pictures I had printed out thumbnail size of pictures that I really wanted to replicate. He actually appreciated it big time, and it gave him more of a focus.

I am not putting on the ones the photographer should know, just the extras... like me and the twins boys who grew up across the street, or a picture of all the Lafayette College alumni at the wedding, or me and my sorority sisters drinking by the water.... long story.

I assume he is smart enough to know the most important pictures to take.
