question about my shower date change

question about my shower date change

should I send a new invitation or just send everyone a small note card?

keep in mind, we had to send out an 'oops card' after the first invite, because the invite read
Saturday June 19...it is really Sunday June 19
and the recipe card my name was spelled Jennni (one too many 'n's')

I feel bad that my mom/aunt are changing the date because im upset...so I think I will offer to pay for the new invites

I feel so bad that you are still going through this. It's very nice of you to offer paying for the new invites, but you gotta remember that none of this was your fault. Someone else spelled your name wrong. Someone else put the wrong day/date on the invitations. And who chose Father's Day for the party? I don't normally condone this, but maybe you should allow a bridezilla scale or two to pop out of the skin ... either that or walk away completely - let it be a surprise. I had a little shower drama about a month ago (never posted about it), and I told my girls, as well as my mother, that I didn't even want a shower anymore, it was pointless, and I shouldn't have been involved if it was a surprise - and it worked. All I know now, is that invitations are either hitting houses or going out this weekend. I hear nothing about it anymore, and it no longer stresses me out.

Either way, to you, and I hope it works out.

I'm sorry you're going through this too, but it'll all work out!! I would send out a notecard, you don't wanna spend money on another invite, put it towards the wedding :)

Re: question about my shower date change

thx girls

they handled it on their own apparently

i have asked multiple times not to include me in the drama, i never should have known about the errors on the invite, no idea why they told me that!

my mom picked fathers day bc it was the only date in june and she thought i wouldnt want a july shower bc it would be too close to the wedding

honestly my mom and aunt love me and i know they are trying really hard to throw me a beautiful shower, they are obviously having a string of bad luck

whats done is done now

thx for listening

OMG, of course they do!! Just like I know my Mom and BM's love me, they were just having a hard time getting through to each other. There is nothing wrong with the string of bad luck ... it just sucks that you had to get involved and stressed over it. Its great that they are taking care of it tough!!
