Question about my wedding dress

I was wondering...My dress will be in the 2nd week of December and my wedding is Feb 16th. Do you think it will be alright if I take the dress home? Also, how can I preserve it until the day of? And, how can I steam clean it or whatever girls do to make it look nice b4 the big day? Obviously, I am lost here!!

find out from the bridal plaza if you can store it there. my dress came in yeterday, and my wedding isn't til 9/21/03 - they are storing it for free for me.....

I bought my dress at the Vera Wang Sample Sale about a year before the wedding. I kept it hanging in the garment bag for most of that time, then brought it to a seamstress about 2-3 months prior to the wedding. She steamed it and I picked it up the week of.

I think it will be fine if you pick it up - , just keep it covered to protect it from dust and bring it to a trustworthy dry cleaner to get it pressed. I would call the dry cleaner to find out how much time he needs to do it.

Edited to say that I brought it to the seamstress 2-3 months prior to have alterations done. And that it was great to have it in the house - If ever I had a bad day, I would try it on and be instantly happy....Enjoy
