question about neutering

i just got a dog on thursday he was neutered then. his stitches dont seem to make a straight line and he doesn't really eat or drink that much. he is always tired. is this normal? he's a jack russel and usually these dogs are crazy

I think it might just be bc he's in a new home so he's being shy until he gets used to his new surroundings and people. Give it a few more days, he should start to liven up as he begins to trust you he'll get more comfortable.

Neutering is a pretty major surgery, so he's probably still recovering. When dogs are in pain, they can't tell you, so they react by being more lethargic, not eating or drinking as much, etc. If he doesn't show signs of improvement in a few days, call your vet. Hope he feels better!!
