Mine has a firm minimum. Call them and check to be sure.

I've heard they sometimes upgrade you if you're short a certain amount of people. I can't imagine knowing over 200 people let alone over 300! wow! ha ha!

most do. You can always ask for an upgrade to balance out the money

if i include the vendors in my count, but they are half price, does that still count towards my minimum?

I think it depends on your hall. I know we don't even get the vendors and kids at half price until AFTER we meet our minimum!

same here.

You can ask them to throw stuff in to compensate for the people you were short. . .

Most halls do make you stick to your mininum but (as another bride said) you can ask for upgrades to make up for it.
Sorry you had so many nos...
I' m afraid we won't make our mininum either. My response date is this Friday and we are starting to get more 'nos.'

Your minimum is firm -- they aren't going to let you change it now.

Did you count you and FH in your count? Make sure that you do. How many people still have to respond -- you may still get the 10 you need.

Vendors usually aren't half off until you meet your minimum -- so you can count them towards it (you are paying for those full price plates regardless).
