So far, I am thinking our list can't go higher than 180. And it can't because our room fits 190. But do you think 100 invitations is sufficent for this? I am trying to not spend so much. If we get additional 25, it's at a cheaper price than if we have to re-order later. But I was thinking of maybe just getting 25 extra outer envelopes in case I make mistake addressing them. What do you think is the safest thing to do? How many did you invite, and how many invitations did you get?
I am just getting 90 favors. That should definitely be enough since not everyone comes.

Re: Question About Number of Invitations To Get
I am inviting 180 people. I need 97 invitations, and we ordered 125. Everyone says it's better to have extra.

Re: Question About Number of Invitations To Get
It all depends on how many you're inviting. Well, duh - but seriously, do you have your guest list finalized yet? If so, you should go ahead and count out (in Excel, Word, on paper, or whatever) how many invites you need to send - couples will get one, singles get one, grown children in parents house may or may not get their own, etc. Once you've got the final number of invites to mail, add a buffer of at least 15 extra to allow for B-list if needed, guests you haven't thought of yet, etc....and add another few envelopes on top of that!

Re: Question About Number of Invitations To Get
Well this list CAN'T go past 190. I don't even want it to go past 180. I know everyone doesn't go, but I don't want to invite more than what the room can fill. I originally wanted 140, but it is not happening. And it would kill us financially if we did actually have all the 180 come.
Ordering the 25 extra envelopes, would make the cost of favors and invitations go a little over $700 altogether. Now I am thinking of getting less expensive invitations. We're on a budget.
I have the list at what I think is final now, and it's 175.
