i posted a post already on the 09 boards about booking my florist yesterday! i just wanted it out of the way and i was really happy with the flowers i am getting and how nice they were and knew just what i wanted and i feel very comfortable with them cause i think they know their stuff and their going to do a good job on all my cp, bok and everything! :)
but now i am getting worried because i have seen some reviews on here about them and some arent very good! :( also i have seen some quotes on here of girls posing of what they got for their flowers thru other florist or even some who are working with the same florist as me!
so i am wondering.. do you girls think 175 per cp is too much?? i am getting the high cp! i have seen on here now that girls payed between 100-140! now i am getting worried and think maybe i am paying way too much for my flowers?? by the way, this is with pedestals - vito that i booked with! please give me your advice and feedback.. now i am thinking real hard about this and its worrying me cause i dont know if i should really look around cause i only went with them and that is who i booked with, i didnt shop around!

what type of flowers are in the high cp? 175 for high cp's sounds about right. The range i saw for high cp's were between $125-200 on average, and $125 i saw were cp's with roses. Mine were $175 each and i got quotes from other places for same type of cp's with exact flowers and it was the same. So remember its not just that its a high cp but also the type of flowers that are in them which will drastically change the price
i used pedestals and had no problems at all

What kind of high centerpiece was it though? Did you have a lot of stuff added to it? I got the high centerpiece with like 3 small candles wrapping around it... and I am getting like 7 high ones and 7 low ones.... bq for 5 girls , mine, all the other stuff for the boys AND parents, also church flowers, and it came to around 2,500. What was the quote you got? What was included??

My BFF's brother in law used Pedestals for their Nov 15 wedding and everything was absolutely AMAZING. You are getting a great vendor-JMO.

I am using pedestals and I went with then because they did an amazing job at a friend's wedding and at my sister;s wedding. That sais, i wtill visisted 3 other florists. Pedestals centerpieces are much fuller than many other high centerpeices I have seen and although they are $$$, they will usually give you a good price for personal flowers.
Before we booked, FH went twice to meet with one of the owners because he wanted to see their work and back roo.m Every arrangement in the back was just stunning. After visiting other florists mentioned a lot on this site, we realized how much better the back room stuff at Pedestals looked compared to the flowers at other places. For a few hundred more, it was so worth it for us.
If you are not huge on flowers, you can save a lot of money with Burton's. I met with them and did like them (very nice people) but we are going for something out of the ordinary and I think they are great for the basic stuff but the vase choices were very limited and they do not do a sample for you far in advancel. Buron's price is great though. It is definetely very different then pedesals.
Honestly - Pedestals is great. I really think you have nothing to worry about. Every vendor has bad reviews on here - take it with a grain of salt.

I used them a few years ago and in my shopping process I realized they pack there centerpieces with flowers. A few of my friends got there flowers cheaper but they were no where as full and big as mine. My sister in law used another well known florist and her centerpieces were very small and she regretted not using Pedestals. It can be very confusing because your buying a blind item and it sounds all the same until you see the final product and at that point its to late. I worked with Robert and he was SO patient and he did a great job on my wedding.

I would say go on your own experience...I went to meet with Pedestals because my reception hall recommeded and ended up having such a nice visit. The person I spoke with knew exactly what I wanted - they seemed a bit pricey to me but that's because I picked the most expensive flowers (peonies, orchids etc.). I'm sticking with them because they seemed to get it early on and I'm not going to turn on them now. I'd really question which type of flowers etc. That does seem very high actually.

im using them too and yes ive heard the negative but i knew a few girls who used them and i loved them when i met them..remember we booked for a reason..u will be fine..hth

well its not more the negative things i have seen on here about them thats getting to me, cause honestly i really have a GREAT feeling about vito and i know he is going to do an amazing job! i saw his work and arangements and he does absolutely stunning work and i was amazed! that is what made me book with him right away, i loved him and his work and i dont have any doubt that he wont do a good job cause i know he will! what i loved most about him was i didnt even really explained what i wanted and liked and he knew exactly what i liked and wanted right away! he also gave me great advice and told me not to do that or do that and what looks better and definately helped me out a lot! :) so i am very happy i got him and booked with them, i am actually excited!
denise - thanks for the feedback! to be honest i dont know exactly the names of all the flowers on my cp arangement, but i do know they are a mixed of a lot of different flowers, with roses and all and i also will have the twisted branches in my cp! :) i mean i dunno if 175 is too much for them, but i was wondering because than i saw girls on here who got quoted with 125 for them so i began to wonder am i paying too much or what!? so my worryness is more about if i am paying too much or is the price right??
our quote was a bit high and after talking to him he lowered it down a little more, like a couple of hundred dollars but thats about it! for all the cp, bridal party bok, my bok, the men, the fg and little bride, and loose petals around in places where i asked him to put it (on tables and all) and the flowers for the church (2 big arangements for the alter) and than about 10 flowers for the pew's on each side (so its about 20 all together) with bows, flowers for my cake and he gave me the arangement for free for my table! :) plus the extra bok to throw.. with all that we are paying a little over 5K!
and he is giving us the candles and loose petals all around the tables with the high CP for free!
i LOVE flowers and i honestly think its worth it even though it is just for one day, but it is what makes the room pretty and basically the whole day pretty! you will see them all over the video and pictures and so i think its very important to choose a great florist and i am very picky when it comes to the decor of my wedding and want it all to look beautiful, flowers are very important to me for my wedding! i just thought maybe 175 was too much after seeing girls on here who are paying 125, but i guess its cause i am getting a lot of different flowers mixed in there with roses and the high twisted branches??

Im using them too and i have vito doing them and i paid $150 for my cp and they are high too. But its also the type of flower your getting some flowers arent in season during the year so they cost more. and remember roses are always expensive no matter what time of year it is. I think thier going to do a great job. Dont worry

It also depends on what type of flowers you are getting. Im sorry to say but my friends had negative experiences with them, that the flowers that were shown to them as a sample came out totally different from what they were the day of wedding, and they werent full at all. I felt bad for her because she was stressing over the flowers.

right now as it stands we told vito about 20 CP! it all depends how many guests we will have, but we are looking at about maybe around 20-22 tables so!

oh really?? im sorry to hear that! i have heard similar stories but than i also heard other things like it was BS! not saying your friend didnt really have that bad experience with them, but i guess we have to take it all with a grain of salt and not think or assume its going to happen with us! i dunno who she worked with, but i actually brought this up to vito's attention when i met with him and he made sure to tell me not to worry a thing about that cause that will never happen and he would never do such a thing and i feel very comfortable with him and trust him! and i will just hope that on my day that doesnt happen with me and my cp look just like the sample do! :) or else vito will hear me and have problems with me, hehe! he even told me himself there would be no way hed do that because lets say that happend, i get a copy of the same picture of the sample as he does and if on the wedding day it looks different he said i have the picture as proof and i can fight it and get all my money back!!!!! i expressed my feelings about this since i heard this on here before and i told him im a little worried, and he made me feel so much better with the things he said to me and i am sure he will do a great job! i just have this great feeling about him! :)
