Question about pictures - especially for those with divorced parents....

I am going to compile a list of must-have pictures for my photographer. Now how does this work since I have divorced parents.

I have a sister S - we have the same mom & dad. I want pictures with her and my dad, and then her & my mom - but I cant have my mom and dad and her right? Because who would want that picture besides me??? Neither parent would want that in their album and that wouldnt be nice to my stepmom right???

Cause then I need my sister, me, my dad, my stepmom & half brother in some pictures....then my sister, me & my mom in others....

then I have my whole other step-family that my mom married into!!!

So do you take entire sets of pictures?? Cause then you have to take pictures with FHs family too!!

So I would have dads family & FHs family...
Moms family & DHs family......

ARGH - how does this work!?!?

we HAD to do the pictures with my dad and real mom separately since they can't stand each other....plus not one of us wanted a picture of all of us together. Mom got her pictures and Dad got his with step-mom.....it was all good....it really depends on how they get along.

well at my sisters weding we had pictures with my mom and dad and then seperate family pictures. my parents get along pretty well, so i guess it depends on that.

If it's important to you that you all be in a picture together than I think you should do it. Unless, of course, your parents are really on bad terms, then it would be awkward. I hope you're leaving enough time for photos, it sounds like you're going to have a lot of them to take!

As crazy as it is, you have to take all those different arrangements of pictures. You are definitely off to a good start by making a list. No one will want pictures of a family that no longer exists. I am in the same boat as you, and I also have to do all the craziness with the step-families and half-siblings!
