Re: Question about Pre-cana?

I am not getting married until next October. My church has sent registration forms for pre cana to my house already twice! I'm not going until April - May next year!

I would think that your Church would contact you!

Re: Question about Pre-cana?

I was given a pamphlet from the priest when we first met with him. It had the numbers to call on it, along with the pre-cana options (weekend, evenings, etc.)

We're not getting married until next October, and the priest still recommended that we go as soon as possible.

Re: Question about Pre-cana?

I would call your priest and double check,
we didnt get any info in the mail.
but we did get call from host couple about when we were available,

but all parishes do it differently
and they may have different pre cana sessions.
5 or 6 week in home
1 day
weekend away
etc.

good luck
we did the in home, and i loved it

You need to call your church, every church has different times. Good Luck, I am so glad I am done!

Re: Question about Pre-cana?

Marcella, we called the church just to confirm. We just had ours in October and we are getting married in June. Get it over with sooner. One less thing to do. Holy Name of Mary offeres it on a SAturday, one long whole boring day. But I met great people.

Re: Question about Pre-cana?

another question..

Do I have to do it in NYC where the church/ceremony is or do I can I do it anywhere?

BTW: I emailed and called my priest and he told me I can swing by and pick up a schedule and for me not to worry cause I have plenty of time.

My church requires you do you it through them. I love that you can e-mail your priest. How modern.
