Question About Puggles

I used to have a Pug- such a sweet friendly girl. However it was very diffcult to housebreak her and the shedding was unbelievable. She also had a multitude of health problems. As much as I loved her I would never have another pug becuase of all the problems associated with the breed.
Now, I've heard that beagles are also difficult to housebreak and to train in general.

For those of you that have them- I have to ask- do you have a lovable, but heavy shedding hard to housebreak puggle? Oh and do they snort like pugs?

both of my puggles are extremely lovable and cuddly htey love just lay with you, but when they want to play they can play and make you piee you pants they are so funny!!!

they do shed not too bad, i brush them alot so they dont shed that bad.

housebreaking, they were both pretty easy actually, occasionally they will have an acccident but pretty much rather wuickly learners. we took out forst to a trinaer so she is excellant and listens very very well and qwuite obediant. great tempered. the second on is still apuppy so i dont nkow how she will turn out, but she does listen as well. not as well as the professionally trianed one but she is very good behaved as well.

all in all i love my puggle!!! they truly are the best dogs!! they love you, listen to you, play with you they make me laugh everyday and smile alomost every minute you loko at those cute faces!!! i could go on and on about them.. but i reccommend the 200%

Ok, mine is the exact opposite of Megan's. Missy is insane.. I though it would get better but...nope it hasnt. She can be cuddly, dont get me wrong, but only when she is tired. She has temper tantrums when she doesnt get what she wants and can get nasty also. the funny thing is that Megan and I had the same trainer. Missy is all beagle. She also just loves food soo much and will eat until she explodes.

We decided to get her a friend (another puggle) and she is so rough with him and wont leave him alone... even when he is sleeping. She bites his ears so hard and tackles him like crazy. But he seems more like a pug. He does bother Missy a lot so he isnt exactly innocent but even when he is minding his own business Missy come running full force and jumps on him and drags him and shakes him by the ear.

She's nuts!!!! I get so jealous when i hear all these good things about puggles and here i am with the puggle from hell. LOL!!!! But you do take the chance of getting a Missy.

Missy sounds like the pug I had! She loved us but was not a snuggler aT ALL. She was too busy. She lived to eat! She was soooo lovable though.

My puggle looks like a pug in a beagle's body and I think acts like a mix of both (I'm not sure, never had a pug nor a beagle). HE sheds ALOT but his sfur is oh so soft ALL the time. He is SUPER cuddly at night....he likes to sleep under the covers and MUST be next to either DH or I. He has a lot of energy but is calming down alot. He follows me everywhere and whatever room I'm in, he's in (and so is his big sister, a rottweiler).

He was a little hard to housebreak, but we adopted him at 7 months or so. Now we have a fence and it's been a world of difference. He is supremely stubborn at times, but he makes us laugh SO hard sometimes.
He snorts when he eats and I swear he has asthma or something....he'll have these 'Attacks' where he can't seem to catch his breath. He also snores like a Mack Truck if he is sleeping on his back with all 4 paws in the air or with his head elevated (like if he's using a pillow)

THey are a mixed breed so you won't know for sure.

Why not just adopt a dog from your local shelter? Then, you can ask all the questions you want and get answers about that specific dog!

Bella is also very cuddley... She has to be right next to me or in mt lap ALL the time!!!! When we sleep, she sleeps in FHs arm or she on my pillow with me!!! Or, she is sleeping on my chest.. She also follows me everywhere... When I leave to go out, and she knows if I'm going to work or not, she starts flipping out... But she is so smart, and just loves to play. She does get a little spiteful though, if your not paying attention to her, such as, she's grab tissues out of the box, or things off the coffee table... But all in all, she is the best dog I have ever had.... Even when we meet other dogs, she hides under my legs.... I love her so much, even when she pins me and kisses me until my nose goes numb!!!!
