So I am writing that my reception begins at 1:30. Is it understood that people know it is the cocktail hour or do I actually need to say cocktail hour begins at 1:30. The reception includes the cocktail hour right??? I think I am overanalzying this whole invitation thing!

I think just 'reception' is fine...people usually know that the cocktail hour is first
