I bought my dress at RK Bridal in the city and am not scheduled to go in for fitting until the end of September. I know 'basic' alterations are capped at like $250 or so (I have to look at my receipt), but now I am worried what 'basic' means. I will need the bustle done but I will also need to have the bodice taken in quite a bit..... has anyone had any experience with RK Bridal and alterations? Did everyone stay under the cap? I don't want to end up paying $500 bucks for this....

I just paid for my alterations today. Alterations are capped at $350. That includes basice alterations: the bustle, hem taking in the dress, adjusting the straps etc.
I had a substantial amount of alterations. I lost 22 pounds between the time I ordered the dress and my first fitting . The seamstress took the dress in about 4-5 inches, altered the hem twice and made the bustle.
My alterations were $300.

I think Diana just makes all of the appts. She is the one I spoke to initially. Delia did my dress.

Basic Alteration is the bustle, and taking in the bodice & sides if needed.
I had Sueli, she was very nice.

That's good to know that they honor the amount it was when you purchased your dress.
