Question about RK Bridal: Prices...

Question about RK Bridal: Prices...

Hi,

I went to RK Bridals today with my 2 bridesmaids. We found some beautiful dresses but each dress had 2 prices. $174 and $220.
The difference is attributed to the fact that if RK Bridal takes measurements and then orders the dress, it costs more than just ordering the dress.
Mind you the $220 price tag doesn't include alterations. But alterations cap at $60.00 if RK measures you.

Have you ladies questioned this also? What have you done in the past?

We got bm dresses for my friends wedding there, but we measured ourselves. We're going to take it to our own tailors. My friend heard the alterations were not that great there. But I don't know if its true.

We did it the no frills way ( measured ourselves) b/c my bms were out of state.

JMO--put doesn't it seem wierd that they charge two different prices depending on if they measure you or not. Have you tried to find the dress in other stores. The place where I am getting my BM dresses was the cheapest around minus the internet...and they cap their alterations at $50. If you want info fm me.

No, I don't think it's weird. They have two programs - the no-frills or the basic. I have 3 BM's who did the no-frills and 1 who got measured there. They actually spent a lot of time helping her and showing her where she fell on the size chart.

Re: Question about RK Bridal: Prices...

Rk charges you two difference prices because they want to compete with the internet... the higher price is the same price all the other bridal stores charges and they usually take your measurements and also charge extra for alterations and the lower price is what the internet might charge you when you measure yourself and order the gowns

Hope that helps

I did the no frills deal for my FG and BM gowns and so far I have no complaints and everything came in early

Re: Question about RK Bridal: Prices...

Thanks ladies,

I will return with my girls to RK bridal this week and hopefully order the dresses at the no-frills price.

I say hopefully because we have to decide between three dresses that we all like.

If anyone has any experiences with alterations there, please post or FM me...
