Question about Rsvp's

If I have 118 people on my list, how many people are going to really come?
How many people can I expect?

all's i can say is i invited 148 and so far everyone has said yes. DARN IT. i can't fit this many in my hall.

I'm asking because we need to guarantee 80 and my dad won't pay for anything over that and I'm freaking out now.

well, i invited about 200 and need to guarantee 150. we thought we'd make our minimum but i've gotten some surprise 'no's' so we'll probably end up at 135 or so.

I am just finishing my RSVPs now and out of the 188 people we invited, 162 are coming. I think it depends on how much family you invited vs. friends. Our list was mostly all family, so we were kind of expecting them to be mostly yeses.

i heard something like 15-20% usually don't come.

Its hard to say: We invited 290 people and so far 180 are coming.

We invited close to 200 and expect 150 to 160...it really depends...for us we do expect the 20% no's

Ditto here. We invited around 207 I think, and only 134 of those ended up actually coming. Fortunately, our guarantee was only 140, and the vendors brought us over our minimum, even though we had to pay full price for some of the vendors.

It's really hard to say what your response rate will be - from what I've seen it averages 25-30% decline rate, but it all depends on your list. On average you should be okay. Maybe add a few names or put them on a B list.
