I am so paranoid about this, but does the runner slide or move at all??? My father is blind and I am concerned that adding the runner into the mix may cause some problems while he is giving me away. I have these visions of there being a crease that he can't see or that it moves a little and throws him off becuase he can't see it at all.
Am I being ridiculous or is this something I should be concerned about?

I really don't know. But I will tell you my church told us we are not allowed to have a runner for liability b/c they can be slippery and they had people trip. But they might just be saying that

I would think someone could easily trip if it wasn't lying flat on the floor - I chose not to have one, for exactly that reason! I was nervous enough walking down the isle, and didn't really see the point in the runner.

We had one because the church wouldn't allow the FGs to toss rose petals directly on the floor.
I'm not sure if it was taped down or what, but it didn't move and I didn't notice it being slippery. Probably because the thought never crossed my mind though otherwise I'm SURE I would have worried about it.
