I found a pair of shoes i love but they are way too high. I thought I remembered someone posting that you can cut down the heel. Does anyone know anything about this?

Re: Question about shoes
I'm planning on doing this too. I think they can do it most easily on strappy shoes. I hope it works!

Re: Question about shoes
I'm getting it done in LA, where I live. I think it's not too expensive. They just saw off a little bit and put a different plastic thingie on the bottom.

Re: Question about shoes
but isn't this kind of mathematically impossible? Wouldn't changing the height of the heel throw of the slope of the sole? Picture it like a big triangle. Heel, ground, sole of shoe. You can't change one side of the triangle without changing the others?
Just wondering

Re: Question about shoes
That's why it's easier with strappy shoes - they can bend a little. THey only take of a tiny bit, but I hear it makes a difference. I hope so!!! We'll see!

Re: Question about shoes
my brother's FIL has a shoe repair shop in Franklin Square. I once asked him to cut a heel, and he said he couldn't because it would change the shape of it...maybe it is easier with strappy shoes...probably best to ask a pro
