Question about shoes

Hi Ladies!

I have a silly question but I am so curious to know! I LOVE the idea of wearing a color other than white shoes on my wedding day. I was thinking like a deep deep red color (like my flowers are going to be).

My question is.....what is the story behind wearing red shoes on your wedding day? I know its a certain culture but I cant seem to find anything on the internet. I love the idea and what to know the history behind it or the reason why. Someone told me its for luck...is this true?

I can't say I heard any myth about red shoes but I am too am wearing a colored shoe. I love the idea of doing something out of the ordinary.

What I have heard in some spanish's culture is when a woman wears any color in her gown on her wedding it means she's promicusious.. (as per my FH and his culture) when I told him about my choice to wear blue shoes... But it's all a matter of doing what you want to do most of that stuff is old wives tales anyways

I knew it was part of a culture to do this....thank you for your help!

i was talking about that with the manager of the store where i got my dress. all she said is that in her opinion if youre going to do a bright color that you need to have that kind of personality to pull it off. i dont know exactly what she means but i am leaning towards a light blue shoe. i guess i dont have much personality.
