Question about Shower Dress

I know my shower will be approaching in the next few months & I am starting to think about what to wear.

My shower is a surprise so I am thinking of buying a dress & giving it to my sister to hang onto for the day so I can change.

How many of you ladies bought a dress to give to you BMs for you to change into? Or are you just going to wear whatever it is you show up in? Also where did you find your dress? I need some ideas of where to look :)

I hope to give my sister 2 different options on what to wear... not sure what kind of season to buy for tho... I'm guessing spring? lol SO confusing. Guess I need to start going shopping... dont want to do white, just want a regular dress of some kind. This probably didn't' help you at all, but I am going through the same thing lol

Good question! My shower is also going to be a surprise but I really want to pick out a cute (white!) dress to wear. I wonder how the timing would work with that - do you greet evereyone and then go change? lol

my FSIL greated did this & she greeted everyone and then went to change. I'm thinking i will do the same thing.

My shower is also a surprise so by April/May I'm going to get a white/ivory dress and give it to someone to bring to my shower.

I've been looking online and so far I've found a lot of cute dresses in Cache and Bloomingdale's!

Kristin, all the showers I've been to the bride to be changed into a different outfit. I don't think mine's going to be a surprise, but if it is I will definitely will be doing this!

I think for the dress I'm going to check out both David's bridal (they have some really cute short dresses) or Estelle's Dressy Dresses.

mine isn't a surprise, but the last few showers I went to the bride's mom had their dress for them to change into. I got my dress at the bcbgmaxazria store at the deer park tanger outlets... another store that I thought had alot of nice dresses was banana republic

My shower was a surprise and I bought a dress and gave it to my mom beforehand. They had it hanging and waiting for me when I got there. I went with a navy blue/beige party dress (my wedding colors are blue and white) that I got from Lord and Taylor. I greeted everyone as soon as I walked in, after I finished all my hello's I went and changed. It worked out great.

Mine is a suprise and I plan on changing as well and giving to my bridesmaids. I have been looking online. I don't want to wear white I'm thinking of a nice blush pink. I wore my wedding colors for my engagement party.

love the back on the macys one!!! the cache dress is prob more weather appropriate since it has the sleeves though. totally love the macys one though :)

I just had my shower and I was getting stressed over this, because if I gave my sister the dress to hold I would have needed another cute dress to buy to walk in with!! lol I just decided I would wear my shower dress to every event under my coat and bring another dress to change into if it wasn't my shower-lucky for me on my first shot it was my shower!!
