Can you do both and offer a little variety half and half? I like them both!

Re: Question about slipper baskets
They are wholesale and go by the case...72 per case. I have 300 guests, so I guess I could do 144 pairs...I don't think every woman there will use them though.
Perhaps I will do that though...I like the mix and match idea.

Re: Question about slipper baskets
I'm not really sure how I feel about these slippers with a dress...but I think that the slippers are better than flip flops for us date twin. Many ladies may still be wearing stockings in April. HTH

Re: Question about slipper baskets
Because people will want to take home either of them - summer shoes for the younger crowd and the older crowd will love the slippers!
Theyll go so fast!

Re: Question about slipper baskets
I would go with slippers because most people wear stockings ... but don't think I'd use *those* slippers ... they look too much like the frumpy old lady bedroom type of slippers.
I'd suggest something that isn't plushy like that, your guests will be more likely to want to put them on while wearing a formal dress/gown.

Any ideas on where to find wholesale non-frumpy slippers? I agree they do look a little old lady bedroom-y. They were the only regular slippers on the site I looked on though.
I say mix and match. As for slippers, I'd go with Chinese slippers - you can find them at flea markets, and they're usually cheap.
like the mesh slippers you mean?
I find them uncomfortable...is that just me?
They do have them in white on this site.
i did chinese slippers- i found them for $1 ea on myslipperusa.com but i hear its not around anymore....so weird they were all diff colors...seemed the best option I think the flip flops are too summery...I think most ppl will have stockings on

I agree with going half and half. I think it gives variety and will likely mean more of them going.

Re: Question about slipper baskets WITH POLL
How many slippers do people usually put out in their baskets compared to their number of guests?
I have around 300 guests...how many slippers should I be ordering?
They come in sets of 72, so if I mix half and half I have at least 144 slippers. Is that too many?

I did slippers..because in March and April...its not like a lot of older people will not be wearing stockings. Stockings and flip flops might be uncomfortable.

I had to separate the baskets into sizes...there's too many. Honestly 72 is ALOT!!! I think you'd be fine with that! I ordered 75 and its WAAAAAAAAAY too much!

Re: Question about slipper baskets WITH POLL
I would do flip flops.....I think it is a bit odd to dance in bath slippers...no???
Also if I was at a weddding and had stockings on and really want to wear the flips, i'd take the stockings off! LOL! JMO!
